A BIT ABOUT ME

Hi there! My name is Vanessa Burrowes and though most of my life has been spent in the science realm, I have managed to capture some beautiful corners of this great wide world on my research escapades. Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, I have been fortunate to travel all over the world for both work and play and my camera has been a great companion throughout. I have entered my photos in a variety of travel photography competitions and won a few things along the way. I like to dabble in a mix of travel photography, maternity and newborn photography, portraits, and expand my repertoire as people and natural settings challenge me to expand my medium in all sorts of ways. I recently moved back to the United States and am currently based in Durham, North Carolina.
